Being a self taught artist from childhood, Augius did explore art in the world and learned of various techniques. From her studies in the home town of El Salvador Dali with master painters, Augius discovered and incorporates elements of the Mische technique, a technique from the 1500’s. It is a technique where paint is layered in glazes to create a realistic and dimensional image and capturing the presence of light.
